Finished a day in the bush dropping and skidding trees. My old *** is whooped. Got about 3.5 cord on landing. Heading into bigger trees now so less work more wood. Going to eat, pour a good stiff one and go lay in a hot bath. Then lights out. Tomorrow doing it all over again. Labour for heat, no prob I’m sure my *** will be kicked tomorrow as well, but it’s a good kinda kicked.
My late FIL would say "I'm tired but a good tired" after working all day in his garden and cutting grass. He did that into his 80's. He died at 85 after he had a fall backwards down the basement stairs and hit his head on the concrete floor. He landed up with a brain bleed and died a week later. He was a great guy and is missed

Morning guys and Happy Saturday. Well it was till I looked outside anyway.
I looked outside at 9:30pm and could hardly see across the road. We even had thunder as well.
The first lower panel on the garage door is buried.
The doors on our shed is about 1/3rd covered.
The bushes along the driveway are sagging from the weight of the snow.
Going to take my time doing the driveway and if I feel like it I'll do the neighbours as well.
They took off to the cottage at 8:30 ahead of the storm.
Have a good one guys and take it easy clearing snow.

Sorry to hear that. My thoughts. Well it’s the perverbial morning after and amazingly enough not to locked up. So back to the bush again today should get a lot more on the landing today as we have the trail pushed in now. Less road building more skidding
Have fun gents be safe. For me any day in the bush is a good day.

Wow!!! Hopefully it’s not that wet heavy **** that the blower struggles with. It’s -12 now heading for 0 forecast says sunny all day. 15 k winds, perfect weather for fire wood. I’ll take a venison sausage some bread and some coffee and a pot make a fire for lunch. Amazing saving money on heat and having fun doing it

kinda miss those days even splitting fire wood with an axe was fun.

I call splitting wood with an axe therapy, get it all out. Much calmer after a couple hours swinging that axe at your problems
Yep exactly what I use to do and could use some therapy right about now. lol

Borning day for me I hate doing nothing all day. Old truck is almost done just waiting for enough money to finish up. Scamp is covered up and need to get it ready for spring but to early to dig it out.
Think I'll go back to work on Monday just to make a few bucks. Hate working on new cars there pieces of ****.

I wish it wasn't heavy packing snow but it was. The first cut down the driveway was a killer. The machine was on dead slow and motor at full throttle and it was chucking the crap really well but once in a while it would start to climb up the snow in front. Took my wife and I two hours to do our driveway and went up a few houses on both sides of us and cleaned their sidewalks as well.
This afternoon it's been nice and sunny and in most places my driveway is dry. 6 and sunny tomorrow so should put a big dent in it. Got a lot of snow on the roof so the water is dripping like mad.
Here's a picture I took from the security camara. The snow at the garage door was 1.5 feet if it was an inch.
See that ridge down beside the house that was well over a foot high.
