If you post a straight on photo I'll decide the card.

Might not be able to provide and details, 67 cards list what each column means

Much better

I have some of it decoded as best I could from the angled image I'll confirm with the straight on one

I wonder if it was quality control checking the interior, I see the black bucket seat code. But that's just a guess on my part.

Probably cant read this but here it goes

The Card basically decodes to the text printed on the top line. The characters "-&0987654321" "&-0987654321" Probably is some sort of control or code that the computer reads that means something to the computer.

the xy1 ,xy2, xy3 columns (I noted them XX1, XX2 and XX3) is probably that same type of thing.

the leading column 1 with xy0 ( noted as ??) probably means this is the start of a record

all in all he card is neat but is not super helpful.

Not sure what the Y3 is after the GY3G?

there is a possibility i messed up a row or column it is a bit of a challenge to keep it all straight

Whoa. You have a post 1967 IBM card.

COOL!

Stellantis historical can provide 67 and older photos of IBM cards

Yes, very few cards exist post 1967.

Thank you very much for taking the time to decode, was hopping it would give option on the card as I have not found build sheet yet car coming apart this week might get lucky!

I n us L6X9 is bucket seat for Duster model but maybe demon is M6X9 not sure on Demon just to clarify

You're right. My Demon has M6X9 on its fender tag and has bucket seats, but maybe it's specific to Demon.
In fact, the code for bucket seats is C55.
L6X9 or M6X9 is the trim code.
But what's exactly the trim code? I think that the trim code is in relation with the upper door frame color which match, or not, the seats color.
Sorry for being off topic... let's go back to IBM cards :)

The 67 GT with buckets vs bench is like that

P4X is GT Trim with bench

P6X is GT with buckets

The first letter in the interior code is the price class of the interior options.

L= low (usually a bench with the most plain upholstery)
M= medium
H= high
P= premium
C= Charger (IIRC) (usually buckets with the most fancy upholstery)

The IBM card should have all of the info that's on the build sheet, as it's the computer version.

Plus it has more info about sales and routing, etc.

There is way too much information on the broadcast sheet to put on the card.
As was mentioned there were different cards.
At best it would it may have all the information that is on the Fender/Data Plate.

The IBM card the OP has is a quality card NOT a build card

Interesting.

Thanks.

My understanding is the IBM build card came first, then the broadcast sheet and fender tag.
IBM card has everything a broadcast sheet has, and more, except for part numbers listed at the bottom under the two BUILD CODES sections, such as the Torsion Bar #s.
The fender tag cannot fit everything from the IBM buildcard, or the broadcast sheet, for example my car has two items in column 57 of the IBM buildcard (574 & 579), T on the fender tag, the T gets the 4.

The Quality Card is set up the same as the IBM buildcard, so this might help.

If you have looked at a IBM car with the option codes you will see there is no place for all the items on the Broadcast Sheet.

This card aside from the VIN and some basic info like color, the only thing that translates is the word LOCATOR.

I have yet to see a card with the build codes and not option codes.
