Duct tape drags 2025

Freiburger announced a few days ago that the 2025 duct tape drags are a go again for this year. October 17-18. It’s a great time and really all about just having automotive fun. We’ve gone 5 years in a row now. This year I’ll be driving my D100 out and making passes in it, possibly with a little laughing gas. Let’s keep a list here of who’s going and maybe we can have a meet and greet or have a beer around the bonfire pit.

If you just buy tix you’ll be forced to put in vacation time and use em. So I suggest doing that.

Well, you'll be one of the first to know but, I've decided to go with a big block instead of the V10. Keeping the v10 for the 70 superbird clone that will follow the Barracuda build. I'm planning to shoot an update video with the 493 install this upcoming week.

I’m pretty confident that the ole 8-3/8 diff is gonna hold up just fine on a street tire. If not I have a complete Currie 8-3/4 that I could have in it in about an hour. Me not worried.

I wanted to make the tract from South Texas to this event but snoozing has bit me in the A$$ once again. I love driving my Duster.......
but you must understand it gets really depressing when you are half way across the state of Texas on I 10 Kerrville TX and you come across a road sign that states
its 550 miles to El Paso Tx with NO AC???????????? Cant do it man.......
They probably would not let me run if I trailered it or there would be some kind of technicality on why I could not run or no because you didnt drive it 1200 miles. I will be checking into this much more next year as i would love to come hang out ............But it is what it is and nothing else....................... Texas Red......Gary

Your good man, lots of people trailer cars to this event. There really is no rules it’s just about automotive fun. Bring whatever you want, drive whatever you want, race whatever you want. And Ive driven across Texas, I know exactly what you mean.

I actually have to tow the D100. I will not be driving it out. My chick didn’t want to drive the motorhome out alone and I couldn’t convince any of my friends to do it. So look for this….
