Time for some new heads as I rebuild my 360 roller cam small block. Trying to decide the best head for my combo. Its a peppy street car, 69 Barracuda convertible, with built 904 auto, 3500 stall 3.55 limited slip. It has a set of small ceramic coated headers, a 750 street demon, airgap intake and I'm replacing the dished pistons with flat top to help the compression. I know the trick flow is a bit more coin and the flow significantly better. I don't know if they are over built for my combo and if there is a downside to them. Presently I have the original 308 heads with port matching and some bowl work. Even the SM would be a significant flow improvement.

Below about .550 lift there is little difference in flow between the TF and SM heads.

Save the money if you want. Just have either brand checked out before you install them.

As PRH has rightly said, trust but verify.

They are chinesium so everything must be checked but they are a huge upgrade from the 308 factory.

I'm having trouble finding them for a roller cam and oil through heads let alone cnc ported. PRH has done some amazing things with porting the stock heads.

I ran the Speedmasters with 405cp's and the camshaft attached with good results.

A pair of Promaxx 171 cc heads, less valve springs, are 1202.75 right now plus shipping:

Maxx 171 SB Mopar (Sold in Pairs) - PROMAXX Performance Products

Pull the R.V. cam out and put a SFT in there. This cam works extremely well with a low compression street effort:

Just so everyone is on the same page…….the TF heads are priced “each”, the SM heads are priced per “pair”.
In other words, the TF’s are over 2x the cost.
And rocker arms…

@mgoblue9798 Thanks. Now that I've bought the heads from midnight swinger I'll talk to the shop about your suggested pistins. The 308s have 72-65cc and the SM have 65cc so we will see what the shop thinks about the compression ratio.

Between the different valve pockets and shorter CH of the 405 pistons, it’s about a 10cc difference in the compression calculation…….. which in that combo will likely work out to about 1 point of compression.
