Me and my friend got this 62 ford falcon drag car for free. I know its not a mopar or an a-body, but were using all mopar parts. 8 3/4 rear, mopar driveshaft, k-member, 440 engine and tranny.... ohh yaa, its a TUBE CHASSIS car!!! yaayy:snakeman:

dang, Even if it was a Mopar, I beleive in that condition I would look for another body

I take it by the looks of things it's been a project for quite a while, nice to see you rescued it from a fate worse than Dihatsu!

that yr has a NICE body!!!!...i love them and i HOPE someone GAVE it too you because its not worth too much right now!!...LOL!!!!

So your gonna build a hybird--- :toothy10:
A good powerwash and it'll look like new.

Somebodys already put a lot of work in it already.
If you decided to change body style it probably
would'nt be too hard.
GOOD score!

Please give us something interesting to have a debate about. This is a car-lover’s site, not something for cardigan-wearing schoolteachers looking for something unobtrusive, yet big enough to have a bonk in the back of. :bootysha:

Hey Mutha, cut him some slack. He's an enthusiastic 15 year old. BTW: Nice first post. How about you giving something "interesting to debate" or are we a little overdue for our lith drip?

Rylan, nice Falcon but are you sure you want to get into something like this right now? I haven't seen any updates on the Barracuda but I am still guessing there is a chunk of work to still be done on it. Perhaps you should backburner this one until you are a little further along with the Barracuda (just a thought).

Strip it, then dip it, then primer that bad boy. I love altered cars. Do let anyone tell you not to do it. You'll learn something.

I would stuff a straight axle in front use a Falcon Van (still around) straight axle and leafs and hardware to mount it. Do you onw a mig welder? It might time to cough up the cash for one. Stuff some Zoomies out the side. See link.

I like the 440 power plant idea. Don't even worry about the body. If there's no safety issues have fun. This is a good project to hone your fabrication skills. Make sure it's safe; has brakes and actually stops. Don't worry how fast it is or how much chrome she's going to wear, this is a rat rod altered dragger that should be driven.

Cage it too. It's not hard, just a takes some time to learn.

Check these out for inspiration.

It has a solid start.
Pressure wash, sand blast, or dip, and get started. The frame work, etc cost someone some bucks to start with. FLat black it with some pinstriping, and run with it. I LOVE IT!
