Snow!!

Well I usually can brag about the good weather during the winter down here in the South. But today I can't brag. We're getting snow for the first time in a long while. Most won't be to excited about this at all but like I said we don't get it much.

My dog Hershey doesn't look to happy about it. I've been listening to the police scanner and there are wrecks everywhere. We can't drive in the snow. The police are going in and getting tires changed to snow tires and the fire stations are installing chains on the fire trucks. I just got the phone with the boss and we're not going to work tomorrow.

My scanner has not seen this much action in awhile.

yea, we are only going to get a little of it....we were begging for it so we could ride our snowmachines...we have had a great winter for sleds...we are at 13801 upstate ny...

That mess is coming up here to MD. We already have a few inches on the ground and it is supposed to snow until this time tomorrow evening. These Nor'easters can produce a lot more than predicted and they are calling for 6"-12" of snow.

I suppose I will be off of work tomorrow?

A guy on the Chevy pickup board said they got snow in Alabama too. We could use some out here. The ski resorts can barely stay open.

I was hearing transformers popping in the distance and then my power went off... it just came back on. I'm glad I've got gas logs just in case. We suppose to get 4 to 6 inches. Tomorrow will be clear with 43* for a high so it will slowly melt away.

It's nice to get this snow. It will help our drought conditions a lot as well as my attitude.

Yeah he likes the Sunflower seeds. There are a bunch of Doves on the ground around the feeder also. I filled the feeder last night before I went to bed because I knew they would be coming in this morning. They all get full and then perch on a limb... like the picture above.

My poor uncle's house burnt slap to the ground last night!!! He went to sleep kind of early because the power went out. He woke up for some reason and opened the door to the kitchen area and fire and smoke blew him back. He has nothing. My mom called and informed me this morning. He is staying at his son's house and they are taking care of him. They went to the drug store to get his prescriptions filled and then went bought him some clothes. I don't know if he had insurance. Poor fellow! I hate that for him.
