Ahh, ya, it sucked, and it was a tear off but we were just replacing metal. Tore off 20 foot sheets and replaced them with 20' 4", 24 gauge metal and new gables. Pretty big roof though, 86 sheets at 20' 4" at 3' wide at 24 gauge.. 10000lbs of metal?

I'm on holidays and my wife is up island visitting an old girlfriend, I passed on that :-D I'll be meeting her at the cabin tomorrow and then going to a little Mopar show the next day, should be a bunch of our island members there so that should be good. :cheers: I couldn't sleep last night for some reason so I got up, at 4 am :shock: I've tipped quite a few now and I'm running on empty now, should be able to sleep better tonight, yada, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah :-D
 
oohh...gotta go get chinese... Pause for the cause...I'll catch up when I get back ;)

I'm doing great Joe, hope you are too! I'm actually one of the lucky ones, I have a lot of free time even when my wife is here, she comes out to the shop all the time telling me to stop what I'm doing and have a drink with her :toothy10: Everyone should be so lucky 8)

I did some nasty jobs this week involving landscaping, re-carpting a deck with the outdoor fake grass stuff and it was so hot the "boss" passed out, literally. I was getting ready to call 911 until I noticed his eyes didn't roll back into his head.

The worst was cleaning a garage that had big meat freezer and an awful smell. 3 hours into the job I found the problem........someone had dropped a couple bags of meat behind the freezer. I won't get into details..........lol!

Cash is cash and I'm happy to have it, regardless of the job. Gotta keep the dogs fed and the bills paid. 8) I have a lot to be thankful for. :cheers:

I don't know how people can handle crazy heat, I have enough trouble with what we get and that isn't extreme at all, maybe 90 tops and rarely at that.

Unfortunately I've had a very similar freezer experience lately, nearly turfed my cookies, nothing could smell more foul than that :angry7:

Thanks man. I had a phone interview with Cisco for a data center engineer position and aced the the first 45 minutes and bombed on the last 15. I knew the answers hands-on on Linux systems but he machine gunned me hard and it was the one thing I didn't refresh my memory on..... Only because it wasn't in the job description so it wasn't part of my study session before he called. Fk me running....... Oh well. I have faith the God has a place for me somewhere and this just wasn't it.

In the meantime, I picked up another free lawnmower today....lol!

Edit: At least the heat here is "dry" heat but I don't do well with it either. If I could find a place to live that was 60F all year round, I'd be happy.

Sorry to hear that didn't work out, something will and soon, you have a hell of a lot going for you so it'll happen.

Hopefully the lawnmower will work out as well as the last one did :toothy10:

First time I tried this in the bottle, I've had it on draft before. First one was good, second one was better and this one is really hitting the spot!

Cool! I just had to post this pic... :) My buds just alerted me to a crackhead in the alley.... And I came blasting out of the garage with an axe. Kinda' sends a message although I prefer I hatchet for close combat, lol!

Here's the latest member of our family. Lilly a 10 week old Black Lab.
We had to have our other lab put to sleep about a year and a half ago.
So now we are ready to have a dog again.

Good on you for taking on a puppy. Lot's 'O' work but so worth it in the long run....... Sorry to hear of your loss though and it does take time. After losing my German Shepherd Dog "Rocky", I went dogless for almost 10 years.....

I thought I could never do it again...... It's one thing that as a pet owner we must deal with, that we will almost always outlive our pets. Rotts are lucky to go 9 or 10 years and Maxi is already 3 and Merlin is 2 something. I'm hoping that since they are mixes, they will outlive the typical heart and cancer problems that these dogs are prone to. :)
