Anybody got a decode program that will work for the 1975 model year, the one on this forum gives me back a 1964 Plymouth Scamp decode and the decoder 69signetv8 gave me comes back 1965 Scamp. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

D34 Torqueflight - Standard Duty

THIS IS ALL I CAN GET, it looks like this a duster not a scamp. i did have one that came back as a valient/duster. so what is right here?

It's a 1975 Gold Duster for sure, from what I can tell this car might be a dealer bought showroom car. It was then "leased" by the original owner before she bought it. Everything that did decode is spot on that I can tell, I'm curious about the codes that didn't decode. like what type of rearend and what gear ratio is in this car?? 230hp engine in 1975 with standard duty torqueflight seems more then what was offered as standard fare in the mid seventies.

Added the pics I have again so everyone can take a good look at this car.

i would have to agree on the hp rateing. again 1975 and up is hard. some things dont exactly match up correctly. my guess is the engine is 318 but hp is probably 150.

Well by looking at the 2bbl carb on it today, i would find it hard to believe its over 150 hp

one of those codes i bet has something to do with the ecomony lights in the fender mounted signals. i do know that this option is called the "fuel pacer package" it should have an axel ratio of 2.76 with this package, although it could still be a 3.23. you should be able to check this by looking at the rear itself. on the back of the rear at the top one side or the other there will be a metal tag with the rear axel ratio on it.

Ahh, ya cool i'm guessing that would be either the G64 or G74 codes in line four?? :book:

Just had a brain fart: one of those codes is for the RH race mirror. :thumblef:

maybe but i'm thinking more like K5X. this is an oddball that just sticks out. the g 64 and g 74 seem to be related somehow do to the g and close proximity of the numbers

ok afterlooking at your car again i think g 64 has to be the rightside racing mirror. then g 74 might be something like tinted glass. the g codes have all got to do with glass something. is the right side mirror remote like the driverside?

I wonder if anyone knows anything about that A91 code "Western sport Package" that might help with some of the other decoding :book:

i'll guess that this the answer for this. in about 72 chrysler started an ad campain with their cars with white vinyl tops called "white hats".dodge called them this anyway. if i had to guess plymouth started them out as "western sport package". probably meaning white vinyl top and maybe some other little thing added in like rallye wheels, or something to make it part of a package.

Thats most likely, this rag top is like a halter top only covers 3/4'ers of the roof and the Gold graphic is painted or a decal on the front quarter panel not an emblem and that fold down rear seat that lets you get into the trunk are prolly part of that.

Yes this car has Left and Right Chrome "Sport Mirrors" the LH one is remote controlled.

last one is n37?? this should be an engine or exhaust related code. does it have a catalitic convertor? if so maybe this is what it is for?? these numbers have to do with the "bulid date" of the car 000 912 154544. i can't figure out how to read it though?

I don't know, I haven't looked under the car yet a converter is likely since those where probably brand new in 75, but hey maybe this car has factory duel exhaust :thumblef:

Now that i think about it yes the car has a Tinted rear window so that probably completes the Western package.

well that is pretty unlikely, but who knows?! i'm going with the convertor. i think all cars had them in 75, but i would think califorinia would have required them for sure!

I'm most certain its a converter CA is a leader in adding more junk to your car

so whats your guess on the 21A3 on the second tag???

i have no idea?..........that one you may have to do more digging on, i can't find anything with numbers like that. you may need to double check the numbers again for type 'o or numbers that look like other numbers. i am forever getting my numbers crossed up! well i hope this helps you out some. if i figure it out i will write back. that is all i got! great car though. i wouldn't change too much on it, just pep it up some and some rallyes!

Hey thanks alot 7demon2 You are a Grand Master for sure :notworth: this grasshopper will go and meditate on your teachings and try to absorb some of your greater wisdom :book: :notworth: :drinkers:

ok here is some new info:

N37 - Catalytic Exhaust System (as i thought)

000 912 154544 000? (i don't think it is important)
912 build date sept 12
154544 production sequence number

21A3 as near as i can tell is an interior trim code
