I think the 440 that you are planning will be slightly faster than the 5.9. I DONT think the difference will be worth the time and money... -

I have a 78 440 rv engine, 452 heads, ch4b intake, no carb yet. Probably going hp exhaust manifolds, 3.23-3.55 gears, slight stall, etc...
