Okay, I'll fix it just like that. Thanks!

    Oil Fill

Would it be better to remove the other breather as well and just put a regular oil cap? That way there can be a bit more pressure within the system. If that even makes sense. Or does it not matter which one you use.

ah I see, this makes sense. I always learn so much whenever loading up this site. I'll get right on fixing that. Thank you RRR and all!

    Oil Fill

Yes I went real slow and didn't see anything come back up and out the valve cover. Thank you for the advice

    Oil Fill

Wasn't aware of that, thank you for letting me know. I figured the crankcase breather on one of the sides was acting as the "ventilation" part of the PCV acronym. Basically just letting it go to the atmosphere instead of rerouting it. And the port on the carb for the PCV was plugged. So I just...

    Oil Fill

Yes, I agree. Passenger side is a bit easier. But good to know that either side could be used. Thank you!

    Oil Fill

Hello everyone! Sorry for the stupid question but I'd rather be safe than sorry. This is my 318 in a 72 dart. Just got the car and I'm doing an oil change for the first time. Both valve covers have a breather filter on them, as circled in the pic below. Which breather needs to be taken off to...

I need one for a 1972 dart with a 318. Not sure which number was originally used on this vehicle. If anyone has knows which number I need and has one, I'd appreciate it. Located in the Chicagoland area.

    1971 340 Roadrunner Block

Hello everyone. I know that this is a long shot but why not give it a try. I bought a 1971 Roadrunner that was originally a 340 from southern Wisconsin, around a year ago. It's a roller, no engine or trans. The last 8 of the VIN which should be stamped on the block are 1G180971. If anyone has...

    Motor Mount Bolt Removal

Before I pull the engine, does the trans need to be supported in any way? I haven’t removed anything holding the trans like the mount or any braces but I figured I’d still ask just to be sure. Thanks everyone!

    Motor Mount Bolt Removal

Yes, much simpler than I expected. Thanks!

    Motor Mount Bolt Removal

Yes now I realize that the bolt sits in a "u shaped" motor mount bracket so it just needs to be loosened a bit until the washers are free. Thank you!

    Motor Mount Bolt Removal

That is exactly what I was thinking of doing but then I told myself, it's gotta be more complicated than just that one bolt :). I'll go ahead and remove that large bolt on both sides. Thank you!
