Had a similar experience years ago when he rebuilt my 4sp. I finally got it back and the work was good, no issues thus far, but the delay was blamed on a death in the family. Okay...I guess?
I'm running 215/70/14 on the front of my Dart with Cragar's and 20:1 ratio manual steering. Turning when parking is a bit of a struggle with that closer ratio. Can't imagine what 16:1 with fatter tires would be like to try and do any parallel parking or tight turns. I'm going back down to 205's...
As nutz said, they were countersink machine screws. The screws went thru the dash frame, into the face plate behind the dash frame and into the radio chassis, securing it to the dash.
I couldn't find any when I did mine, (a few years ago). But they weren't much fun. After I got the window in and "close" I made some sharpie locating marks near the adjusters for reference to adjust from where I was. Only because a couple of times I loosened up the adjusters to much and the...
