I don’t know what caused the sputtering, they took the carb back out and identified a rod/lever (?) out of place/alignment. I don’t have my note w me at the moment.
Noted on the units being universal and to just select the correct size. Noted on the Walbro, will look into it.

Thanks all for your replies, originally the shop rebuilt the carb (along w extensive overhaul) — they test drove it 100 mi successfully before a sputtering issue back at the shop. They foresee future carb issues and recommended EFI for peace of mind long term.

I’ve got a 64 dart with the LA V-8. Want to convert to EFI. What unit would you choose to make this a reality? Mechanic says no domestic/reputable aftermarket options available for this model year. He’s recommending a modern universal carb with an adapter plate.
This is true, very limited options. I’m also considering 14” small bolt pattern steelies with some period correct 14” hubcaps, say from a 63-65 Dodge Polaris. Having trouble locating new steel wheels in this size/configuration however.

Thank you for the tire size information. I think skinny whitewalls and Cragars look good personally, as on early lowriders (like Gypsy Rose) and my Dart being a 4-door, I think the balanced stance makes more sense.
