So true! Within half-mile from my house there are probably a dozen or more early Mustangs or Camaros. But try and find an early MOPAR... let alone one with a /6... good luck!

While I'm not the one who started the count, I see the responses are now over 160! That alone should answer the question, "Why the /6". :cheese:

You hit the nail on the head - "Is it Fun??"! For some people driving their cars a quarter mile at a time as fast as they can is their source of enjoyment. For others, taking their /6 for a cruise around town, for a drive on the open highway for a few hours or just filling up at the gas...

As has been said throughout this thread, the response by others make having a /6 a lot of fun. Have been to a # of small (burger place) shows... some cars having blowers thru the hoods, some with big block engines with everything chromed. I really enjoy the response (appreciation) when people...

Hello, 805moparkid. Per your listed chart, I found a stamped number just like you indicated below the 1st spark plug. We have a '65 Barracuda /6 225. The number stamped is "A 225 1 18 2". I decode this casting number as a 1965, 225 ci that was stamped on January 18. Would you agree? But...

I agree with 65cudalover... am also putting front disc brakes and dual brake cylinder on ours. Even though it only has the /6, still don't like the feel of drum brakes when having to stop quickly (too spoiled by power brakes all these years). And also agree as it relates to the response we get...
