I don't know what it is really called, but it's the heavy rubber sheeting used to fill in the space between the body and bumpers on my 74 Scamp, and I'm assuming earlier and later years as well. Is it available someplace, or what do you do when it needs replacing - leave it off? dave

The roof on my Scamp is completely rusted over, but it is only surface rust, most likely from the vinyl top that was on it. Looks like the vinyl just turned to rust. A lot of it will just brush off with your hand. I hope that's the case, anyway. Seems pretty solid throughout, though. dave

My 74 Scamp originally had a vinyl roof. I've decided that I will NOT be replacing the vinyl roof. I see rear window gaskets "for vinyl roofs", but not for non-vinyl roof cars. Is there a difference? Am I going to have to find new bright work for around the rear window and the roof drip rails...

Just heard from RPM Restoration Parts, Inc. They don't have anything and doesn't know if anything else would work because they are not familiar with the shape of the Scamp quarter window. Wanted to know if I could bring it by at the Mopar Nats, and see if anything would match up...

I was thinking the same thing 70's stuff should all be close enough to work. I ordered a pair from the Paddock - supposed to be for a 72 - that's as far as they went. They were too short and not wide enough. I should check the package and make sure they sent me the 72 stuff. dave

Hi, Evil. Yeah, I haven't been able to locate any hard head liners. I'll have to do some checking, like you say, try and find one in a junk yard and pull it apart and see what's there. Do you know what I would be looking for?, assuming I could locate one with a card board head liner? dave
