I have first-hand knowledge of this from this week. The ceramic filler used to seal the wire wound resister cracked and crumbed away allowing the resister to burn up. Heat and cold causes cracks and water causes corrosion. It was original to the 73 Fury the motor came from, not bad for a...
Hi Mark, I am looking for the driver side A pillar plastic cover and also the 2 stainless steel rear window locking bead clips. Also any seat belt parts would be great too.
Thanks, Russ
They should post the SN# because on 392's it on top, up front and easy to see. I have mine memorized. And if they find those responsible - remove their rods.
I have a 1966 Barracuda. I put in a 1973 Plymouth Fury 360/727 and used all of the 273 externals - water pump (iron), alternator, distributor and exhaust. The flex fan is just over an inch away from the 67 radiator that I had triple cored. If I used the 360 water pump the fan would be in or in...
I appreciate our trying something new. The gathering of parts to make your way. I like to watch to see if I did it right. But the belt surface area on your crankshaft pulley seems insufficient for "all" of your accessories (WP, PS, AC and ALT). Of course I do not know your final application.
My 66 was a little better than that as I was able to drive it home, scary but I drove it. My 1973 era upgrades include: 360-4bbl, 727, 8.75", PS, PB w/front disc, electronic ignition & voltage regulator. Have fun!
A funny thing happened at the parts store. After a carburetor rebuild I thought I might change the fuel line, it being more than forty years old. So with old hose in hand I go to the parts store and told the gentleman I needed to replace this fuel line which was “about a foot” long. I also...
I let the piantshop do mine. That was the last time I saw the 2 stainless corner locking clips, no reproductions that I know of. While the window was out I had it tinted. Then on install they put chevy locking strip (smaller) in and then ran it around those bottom corners and it leaked like you...
