Not exactly sure about why those loops are there. I am assuming some clearance or to account for movement between the drive train and chassis. I have an aftermarket radiator so my cooler fittings are right down at the bottom. Did you make your own lines or did you order them? If so, where from?

It has been awhile since you posted this but just wanted to offer my 2 cents. I am putting a magnum 360 and 727 in a 68 barracuda and the line with the loop 12" back is a pain in the a**. But...I also am putting it on a /6 k member so I am not sure if that is part of my issue. I would go with...
