I'm currently restoring my console and wondered if anyone has used the two sided Gorilla carpet tape to affix the carpet to the side of the coffin console, if so, are you pleased with result?

For anyone who's interested, the Seat Medallions for the '71 Dart are the EXACT SAME as the '68-'69 Roadrunners, just installed horizontally instead of vertically and are available in very nice reproductions from various sources.

Too late for mine, but others may be interested.

The originals did indeed have the cross wires in the burlap. I contacted Legendary Interiors and they said they were not needed as the foam is much better than the original. I agree, the seats are much firmer than they were, which I find much better.

It’s 8”. I’m 5’11” and find it very comfortable.

Project completed! Time to drive & enjoy for the summer.

Yes, listing wires installed. Had to move them out 2" each side to work with the Dart seats

First 'bum' done - first time doing one, learned lots. Hopefully, next one will go quicker.

The Morris retractors sit higher and are flat on the seat side. The mechanism is on the door side, not seat side, so fingers crossed! Thanks for the heads up.

Part of the Bucket Seat process - installed Morris 3-point seatbelts, they use factory mounting points and buckles are held up in a nice plastic/vinyl sleeve so they’re easy to find.

Feeling AC/DC today.......... Back in Black!!

Finally got surface rust rust cleaned off and primed for painting. Used the 3M Paint & Rust Stripper attachment, worked fantastic.

Very slow..........., but next step done - seats converted to late '71 release button style.
