i have learned alot over the last few weeks with my car nightmare, i just want to say how nice it is to have a forum to go to for help when ur at your last thread of not knowing what is going on.. i have learned alot of wiring of my car and the ignition ... and wont be sad if i dont have to...
i just replacement my ignition switch i some how fried out.. i had it running a few days ago ran really rough... thought i blew a motor mount or something was shaking pretty good... and now it just rolls and rolls.. spark plugs look good rotor looks good i am going to go see if that is...
so to ask a stupid question because ive now have trouble with spark also now.. i can have trouble with spark coming off my ignition switch am i reading that right? my car turns over but no spark at all... or did i miss read something?
I'm a dumbass....I meant ignition timing..been a long fighting struggle w my car this season every thing is blurring together....its ignition timingg only thing I know is that is changes w a different cam in the motor.....
I have a 318... the previous owner put in a comp cam I'm not sure which one but is there a website on where to look or find out timing advance for it? Want to double check my timing on the car and having troubles finding the information I need

i did have burn out on the ignition part of the plugs on teh car side the ignition 1 believe its called was black and on the switch side of plug it was pretty burnt up.. still dont know what i hit to have it burn out like that must of hit the fuseable link just right? .... im clueless on it.. lol
its just the key tumbler and electronic ignition i cant get right my accessories come on when they key is on the shutoff position or one click forward... cant figure out how to lign it up right so the key is set right
anybody have any advice on how to get a new ignition switch the key tumbler to line up correctlly its kickin my butt.. the key is not stuck in the ignition cant get it to line up to let it go in and out any advice?
dont understand what the ammeter is? where is it located at? and what does it actually do? trying to figure out how to get the switched changed out.. car is kickin this womans butt this year...
i have brake lights hazards not an option its like my ignition system is dead. i changed out my water temp sensor and went back inside my car to a dead car.. it was a "wire coil" i call it temp gage so thinking i shorted something out and it was ran by the fuseable link i have no idea about how...
