Thanks for verifying - made me nervous and question my knowledge on the car for a few minutes.
Pass along to anyone looking for a REALLY NICE 64 barracuda. Granddaddy of the pony cars
The leading V stands for V8. A slant 6 would have a 1 before the 44
V442 is V8, 4 is valiant signet barracuda, next 4 is the year (64) and the 2 is Detroit (hamtramck) factory
This was B&W run a v8 and remains a V8
1964 Barracuda - 273 C.I. 4 speed on the floor. Complete restoration finished April 2017. Car is all original other than the interior which is brand new (purchased from Dante's Mopar) along with the paint which has a clear coat (not single stage as from the factory)
Purchased in 2013 with hopes...
Trying to figure out how to remove the dash vents from the dash near the windshield and only succeeding in making a mess. It looks like some screws are in there?
Does the dash have to come out?? Ugh...
Has anyone had luck with repainting or refinishing the uppermost interior door area that is metal. I tried buffing the scratches out but still looks beat up. Door panels and arm rests are perfect and the upper metal area is detracting from the beautiful doors.
Thanks,
I spent a lot of money bringing the 64 4 speed barracuda back to life and with the new paint it looks awful riding on pizza cutter tires and worn out rims. Not to mention 13 inch tires are crazy expensive. Can I go to 14 and buy "OEM" style 14 MOPAR rims? Thanks All.
The weight of the glass and a proper install seem like enough to keep everything tight and in place.
Anyone else forgone putting clips back into place?
