    Headman headers

The new Doug's stainless steel ones will be here Tuesday, I'll get some pictures once they go in with the new rebuilt engine.

    Headman headers

Do the Doug's headers model D 453 clear a 727 trans with column shift and a standard oil filter set up (I prefer not to use the 90 degree setup)? I have purchased a smaller starter so I think that will clear. Also any overall dimensions if possible so I can see if it will bolt directly to the...

    Headman headers

Not smashed, I am panning to remove the steering drag link and to get the drivers side out, then repainting them with the VHT high heat primer and paint at this point as the headers had not leaks before. I'd be interested to see the skid plate if you have a picture.

    Headman headers

I am getting ready to install the original 340 back into the Duster. The drivers side Headman header has the steering drag link running through it. Do the tti and or Doug's headers have a better design than this? I was planning to remove the drag link and repaint these headers but at this point...

71 Duster front disc brake conversion

I'll get the master cylinder off in the next day or so and take a look. Seems like 72bluNblu has a good point though. Passenger side piston was staying 1/8" out compared to drivers side but they are returning to the same place now.

71 Duster front disc brake conversion

Left front has been exactly as you described, right front really was dragging until I re-bled so I think it may have been air in the line? Lots of bubbles came out. I'm going to check my other road runner which had a similar disc conversion and see if it does the same. Thanks

71 Duster front disc brake conversion

Thanks for the reminder on bleeding the brakes, there was a lot of air in there. Checked the plumbing to the proportioning valve and everything looks correct according to the diagram. Took it for a drive and it is noticeably better, brakes hold when I take my foot off the pedal but after about...

71 Duster front disc brake conversion

Here is picture of the master cylinder. I believe it is correct for front discs/ rear drum. I will check the plumbing of the proportioning valve when I get back this afternoon

71 Duster front disc brake conversion

I am unable to figure out why the two brake caliber pistons are not releasing fully once the brake pedal is left off. Front brakes are holding after a stop for about 3 seconds and then then partially retract. When I put the car on a lift, press the brake pedal and release both front wheels are...

    MSD 6A Install

Thanks for the help, electric choke wire was still connected to the coil and once removed it fired right up. Should have read the instructions closer where it says "NO OTHER WIRES TO BE CONNECTED TO THE COIL". Anyway glad to have it running now and hopefully it will dry out here soon so I can...
