Remove and install new transmission 904 auto

I replaced the slant 6 and transmission with a 318/904 transmission in a 73 Duster. However, I cannot figure out how to install the speedometer cable. I have both cables run but is there a part I need to ensure the old cable will connect properly and provide accurate speed readings? I have...

These are pictures of Friday morning MOPAR action at Gator Nationals near Gainesville FL It was either heads up or the MOPARS had to give the Chevys and Fords a large head start. Hope you enjoy the photos.

    Fixing my 6-pack hood

Do you know where I can get just the scoop? Mine cracked and I really don't think it is repairable. I would prefer the 71-72 version compared to the older muscle car version.

Best 273 and 318 builds (NO 360's please)

I have been real pleased with my 318 performance. I did not do much other than new roller cam, port and polish heads, high volume oil pump, new air intake, 600-cfm holley and electronic ignition. Something I did was to dress up the engine was new after market alternator bracket. I plan to...

    72 Duster nearing finish

That will make a big difference for your car as well as the get-up and go. I look forward to see the final product installed.

    72 Duster nearing finish

Very nice restoration. Mine is nowhere close to the quality you have put into your Duster. I am restoring a 73 318 Duster; it is very slow since I work overseas and the car is stateside. It was partially restored when I bought it but now I am going back to fix all the little short-cuts...

    1973 Plymouth Duster 318

1973 Plymouth Duster, 318 replaced the slant 6, 904 Transmission, 600-cfm Holley, roller cam and new electronic ignition. Future projects, new larger radiator with electric fan, fix hood hinges, replace the fuel line from pump to the carb, install original bucket seats (if I can find them), but...

    Convert to Serpentine Belt

I had high hopes of installing the alternator bracket, power steering bracket, radiator and electric fan this trip. However, the cold weather and my wife's idea to wall paper the large bathroom and separate toliet room ended my plans for a great 2-week vacation stateside. Anyway, I install...

    Convert to Serpentine Belt

Well I went ahead and bought both the MARCH Performance power steering bracket and alternator bracket kits and will use the origianl V-belt. I will let you know if I was successful and provide some before and after pictures. I won't be back in the USA until 20 December so it will be about 27...

    Convert to Serpentine Belt

Sorry D340; you are right. It is a 318 overbored 0.040" not a 318 increased to 360. LARS: I am glad you said what you did because I now understand the reverse water pump discussed in their literature. I looked at their pictures and totally missed that. But those are the really fancy ones...

    parting a 1973 Plymouth Duster in CT>

Possibly interested in heater box if it is good condition and includes the small wire support bracket that holds it in place. Unfortunately, won't be back in the USA until late December. I will write after I return.

    Convert to Serpentine Belt

I have a 1973 Duster with a 1985 318 overbored to 360. I am looking at replacing the stock pully system with one of the MARCH Performance kits to dress up my engine. I will probably go with the V-belt versus serpentine only because of cost. I was wondering if anyone had installed a MARCH or...
