    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

Don’t know originally, but I remember my dad pulling it in the 90s and paint it blue. Painted orange by me shortly after as a kid.

    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

Thanks, some good information. Does the balancer give it away? Pulled this picture from another thread and my 340 has the forged balancer shown in the picture if correct

    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

Thanks, so do you think the casting date indicates that the 340 would 10.5:1 compression motor or the bogged down version in 72 with the 8.5:1 compression

    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

Had to slip out of work to check this out. So the numbers were on the passenger side engine, just above the oil pan and the 6 digits match the last six on the dash VIN (numbers matching). Everything about the car screams 72 from the dash, emblems, marker lights, rib on trunk, grille, hood and...

    1972 Demon with 71 340 casting

Hi all, I have a 72 Demon that I have owned since I was 16 years old (for 30 years) that I have recently restored. I was always under the impression that it was the original 340 with the car. As I have become a little more educated on A bodies through this site, have started digging into it more...

    340 4 barrel automatic kickdown lever/rod

Thanks for the info, unfortunately, finding just that rod without having to purchase the whole set up seems to be near impossible. Anyone knows of one, please let me know. Have heard of plenty of guys on here modifying their 2bbl hardware by extending that rod. Was curious what issues they had

    340 4 barrel automatic kickdown lever/rod

Hoping you kickdown guys can provide your input. I believe I have all the correct 340 4bbl linkage, excluding the my 2bbl throttle rod, which I have extended. My question is the angle of the rod and if this will work well. Anyone seen a setup like this or do I need the correct 4bbl throttle rod...

    73 duster horn relay ?

Thanks for the reply, the problem I have is that there was no broken wire inside the relay casing to give me an idea of what this empty black wire terminal is suppose to connect to within the casing. Trying to figure out if I solder a new wire to this terminal, where does the other end connect...

    73 duster horn relay ?

Hello, wondering if I can repair my 72 Demon horn relay. As you can see in the photos, the black wire prong inside of the relay does not have any connection to the solder. Can this be repaired? Thanks for your time
