Hey everyone, I recently bought an edelbrock 1405 carb for my 1987 318 d100. It’s currently got the stock 2 barrel carburetor. I got the intake manifold and all that stuff but now I’m wondering about throttle and kickdown. Can I reuse my stock throttle and kickdown? If I need adapters what ones...

I recently cleaned up this 1970 340 intake I got for cheap. I’m looking to bolt it up to my 1987 318. I’m pretty new to this stuff, can anybody point out and help me label all these ports and stuff? I just want to know what’s what… Like that nipple looking thing on the rear right of the intake...

So what will I have to do with all the wiring to be able to make the 340 intake work?? I know probably take most of it out but how and then what. Will I need a new distributor?

No you’re definitely right. Looking at them in person you can clearly tell.

I was going to go with the edelbrock 1405. I’ve heard it’s relatively simple and would work alright.

Must have been the previous guy I’ve done nothing to it lol.
