62 Abody K Members are same as 63-66. 60-61 Abody K members are unique.

62-66 slant6 and SB V8 K members are the same. Just different motor mounts. To put a SB V8 in your 62 Lancer, you will need to remove the heater ducting. Early 273 exhaust manifolds make the job quite simple.

On early A-Bodies with trundle front u-joints, just removing the rear and tying up the driveshaft is the fast trick. Always works.

Stock rocker arms have been welded at the upper and lower seam for more strength. I think this procedure is addressed on www.slantsix.org.

How about draining the trans fluid and look for ground metal.

Kinda hard to communicate at all with the receiver in that position. Oh well, it is 3 AM.

Try #000 steel wool pads. Also Aluminum Jelly and steel wool.

My '66 may have had the side running lights added by the dealer. I bought it from the original owner Dr.s wife. She may have had them dealer installed. They are the Mopar 1"diameter type. Directional signal indicator lights on front top of fenders is factory, for sure on the '66 Barracuda.

My '66 (not a S model) Barracuda has the fish ft. and rear. Top of front fender directional lights and side F & R side running lights. From the factory.
