Thank you for your helpful response. I have another latch mechanism. I don't want to replace the mechanism until I know more. I have learned to move cautiously so that I don't cause unnecessary problems.

The drivers door on my 1964 Plymouth Valiant Signet stays closed only after I turn the rotor on the latch several clicks. Is this is repairable with lubrication or do I have to replace the latch with my spare? Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Are the 1963 and 1964 valiant 5 button radio bezels identical? Please share a photo of a 1963 valiant 5 button radio bezel. I'm looking for a 1964 radio bezel in new condition.

I was able to get more information from the 1964 repair manual. I have uploaded a PDF of that info. I hope that helps someone else.

I plan to replace the fuel tank in my 1964 Canadian Valiant Signet convertible. It resembles the US Dart from the windshield back. I have the tank, strap and sending unit with grommet. Please tell me about any other parts I should get and give me any installation tips.

I want to buy the Signet plastic name plate from the trunk and the Valiant name from the nose of the hood. Is the bezel for the Signet name plate available? I don't know how to contact you directly. Please advise. Wayne Saskatoon
