67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

So I consulted AI again for the charging issue and this is what it came up with: Based on your readings, your 1967 Dodge Dart is definitely undercharging. A healthy charging system should be pushing between 13.5 and 14.7 volts while the engine is running.1 Since you are sitting at 13.01V at...

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

So the driving season has ended and I finally got the car cleaned up and ready for winter storage. Before I put it under cover I tried buffing the car again: This is a really good picture of it. It doesnt look this good in person. But I will try and hit it again sometime in the spring...

    Brake Hang up

That shouldnt be an issue. Since day one of getting this on the road (meaning everything in the braking system being new), we ran DOT 5

    Brake Hang up

They should be the same ordered at the same time from summit racing P/ns DHB-W73609 & DHB-W73609 Interesting about the backing plates, did not think of that. I can check that. The adjusters are on the correct side. They hit their levers properly and when manipulated with the brake spoon...

    Brake Hang up

So this is dealing with a B-Body. The car is a 70 charger with 10" drums on all corners. It is running the disk brake booster and a drum master cylinder. The car has only 2,700 miles since it was restored. The car has been on the road since 2017. The issue I have been having is after...

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

So I found an answer to my question. Come 69(?) the input flare for the steering gear did increase in size. The adaptor I had was correct for the year car, but not the year hose I was running. I talked to the company and they were able to send me the correct size flare adaptor. I got the...

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

Over the past couple weeks I have been slowly plugging away at this. The only things that need done is adjusting the clutch, alignment, and bleeding the steering system. The biggest issue now is bleeding the steering system. I installed a borgeson steering box to get more header clearance but...

    Intermediate Cranking

So I believe I have found the issue with this. I have been driving it pretty consistently over the past two weeks and this morning it didnt crank. So I twisted the key back to the off position, wiggled it a bit, then twisted it to start and it cranked over. I am pretty sure this points to the...

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

So I have been slowly chipping away at this. I was able to get the bellhousing alignment done, new piolet bearing installed, clutch and pressure plate installed. I ended up needing another input shaft and bearing retainer since mine were very pitting. Disassembly of the transmission went...

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

Was able to get the dowl pins out. Drilled, and threaded them. Stuck on some washers that were bigger than dowl pin, threaded a bold on with a nut and used the nut to pull them out. Needed grad 8 hardware to do it though

67 GTS 4-Speed: Daily Summer Driver

That is a good question. I got it from passion performance and it is just listed as a 10.5 organic clutch disc. is there a good way to get the old bell housing locating dowl pins out? I am having a hell of a time...
