yes it is still for sale, but on another note, my buddy just got a 1974 vw thing that he wants to sell, i will get pics up this week. it runs and drives. not rot on the body except for the floor pan where the battery is, it is pattched. he is asking $3000 for it. pics will be up by wed the rain...

no the 7 1/4 axles will not fit in to the bigger rears. go with what the members suggest. whatever fits your budget. DO NOT build up a 7 1/4. you are wasting your time.

EITHER DO THE 9 INCH (I HATE TO SAY IT ford, i am throwing up now) rear or the 8 3/4. if you have the bucks, do the dana. screw the 8 1/4, throw the 7 1/4 in the river, it is garbage. you want the rear to last.

sorry guys, but why don't you list the many supposedly recalls on them as you say. i own an 05, the first year for them. there is only one recall which is a steering problem that just came out. i get between 28 to 30 city and 35 to 40 highway mpg. it has 50,000 miles on it and is still running...

sorry bud, the rear is not going to last very long. get an 8 3/4 rear. you have to spend a couple bucks or you'll keep blowing out the smaller rears. it ain't worth it.
