I can get a set of heads for minimal $$ like 50 bucks...Porting and decking i can get away with but the valve job and seats is where id have to send somewhere....Prolly see if the guy thats boring the block can throw that into the mix too
lol agreed... I planned on .040 over...pistons, cam, headers, and some worked 360 heads. I have 8 1/4 with 3:73 ratio and rebuilt 904 with trans go shift kit

Thanks again Crazy....the "recipe" you listed i got most of that except converter...What if I added flat top pistons? they aint a bad price...and idk if I'm going to have to bore or not yet...I was told maybe .030-.040 over but will that kill me?
Ok thanks for the info guys...yea I wana try get as close to 400 as I can get..I had a 78 z28 that was mid 400s loved that car but of course was 355 with $6000 in work So i can do a simple build on the 318 get it up a bit...anything else I can add to list to get more...Thats other reason I had...
ok ok...so the 904 will prolly be fine....now with the original post that I had what do you think i'll get out of the 318...I will prolly go with crazy's advice with the head work or any suggestions...
(keep the 318 go what .030 over throw the 360 Ported heads on it along with a cam and flat...
I have a fiberglass 6pak hood. I have headers and intake...Its for cruising but Id like to be able put my foot down and scare people lol mild street car.
So whats the suggestion...build the 318 use my rebuilt 904...But i will still prolly try to get the 727 to be safe. The 360 is in pieces so it has to be gone threw and my 318 will be gone threw...Thanks Crazy guy for the Head job link...I'm going to look into that and see if my buddy can do that...
