    Power Steering Fluid

This might seem like a dumb question... What kind of fluid does the power steering on my '69 Valiant use?

That is the plan now. ;)

    Starter Removal

It was the bottom stud. It seems a bit too large and screwed into the starter. As soon as I removed the stud, the starter just dropped. Worked 51+ hour weeks these past two weeks, so only just got the chance to try it. ;) Thanks all for the help!

Yeah, molasses is a chelating agent. My understanding is you have to keep the rusty part in a mixture of one part molasses to nine parts water for two weeks, though.

    10th Annual Mopar Car-B-Que

Just like this! Thanks! It's nice to see the car before I bought it, even if it's only about 5 months before.

    Good guy alert, Mrmopartech!

Yuengling is great, and actually taking off in some weird places in the US outside of PA. Apparently it's the 'import American beer' outside the country, kinda like how Foster's is Australia's import beer and apparently Australians don't drink it... Anyway, Yuengling and Guinness are the only...

    Starter Removal

The stud actually looks like one of the cleanest parts underneath the car, and the underneath is clean to begin with. I have been using generous amounts of WD40 however. I guess the next thing to try is a torch. I was kinda hoping I wouldn't have to.

    Starter Removal

Ok, can't even get anything between the starter and the bellhousing to try and pry it off. Somebody recommended trying a heat gun and lube to loosen it up, and that didn't work either... If I knew I'd have this much trouble with just the starter, I would have never taken the manifolds off. =)

    10th Annual Mopar Car-B-Que

Huh, when I bought my '69 Valiant, I found a little tin thing the previous owner left in there from last year's Car-B-Cue. Hopefully I can get the Val there this year too!

    Starter Removal

Yeah, I'm putting new headers in (Hooker Comps), so I'll have to remove the pitman anyway. Since I've been having this problem with the starter that I've been completely unable to get around, it's already been taking too long, so I can wait for the ministarter I ordered. ;)

    Starter Removal

Ah, ok, I was told otherwise before. Oh well, maybe I'll just order a ministarter already and take a crowbar to the thing without worrying about damaging it. ;)

    Starter Removal

Ok, finally got the chance to check it out again, and I certainly got the right bolts out... Something about it is weird. On the bottom bolt, all I had to do was remove a nut, not the bolt. Is it supposed to be that way? I do have the exhaust off right now, and used a shorty 5/8" box end...

    Speaker holes and kick panels

I think you mean The-Direct-Source.com. ;) But yeah, those look good. I'll probably get an 'upgraded' set with the 100w speakers...

    bumble-bee stripe

The decals should be just vinyl. I spent a year working in a vinyl sign shop, so I did a ton of lettering and striping on cars, vans, and trucks. I'd advise measuring twice (or more!) and using masking tape for guidelines. Spray down the area with some soapy water before actually laying it...

    A/C Restoring

I have a factory A/C in my '69 Valiant, and so far it seems to work, it just doesn't blow cold air. I have no experience with A/Cs so I have no idea what it could be. Any ideas?
