im wondering what manual transmissions if any came out on the 225 3.7 slant six? right now I have automatic column shift and I think it would be awesome to have a 3 or 4 speed in the floor if it was available. I wouldn't want a ''on the tree'' setup just because I don't like the idea of it lol...
ive been told recently to check the points in my distributor to make sure they are spaced properly. question is how would I go about getting the motor Top Dead Center to check the points and how far should the points be spaced?

ok this morning I popped the top of the distributor cap off and then I pulled the hose off the carb that goes to the vacuum advance on the distributor and sucked on it. the inside of the distributor didn't move at all, tried sucking on it a few times with still no movement. tried moving the gear...
sorry forgot to add some more details. I took the carb off yesterday. and surprisingly it was pretty clean inside. and the accelerator pump looked very clean and almost new
Owned my 68 Valiant for almost a month now. Since I've had it it has had a serious issue with power under normal acceleration. It starts fine and idles fine but does shake. But when I put it in gear I have to barely push the gas pedal down or it will stall on me. Anything more than say a quarter...
proud owner of a 68 Valiant with a 225 Slant Six. its a running project of mine and I plan on restoring it and throwing a bigger engine in it someday :cheers:
