I just found the issue, the lock tap at speedo has a small broken piece and not allowing it snap in. It is a clean break so it looked like that’s the way it was supposed to be. Thanks again for all the info

Thanks for the info! It is definitely the plastic end going to the speedo. I removed the plastic end from the cable and it bottoms out before it snaps in.

Anyone have a link for a correct fitting speedometer cable for a 69 Valiant with 727? I purchased one from EBay, the length and the trans end was ok but speedometer end would not snap in. The nylon end is not deep enough.

Does anybody know if there are aftermarket bucket seat tracks that go in factory floor pan holes for a 69 A body?

Put a 400 stroker (470) in my 69 Valiant. All I can say is if you use Schumacher shortie headers there is plenty of room.

Trying to put aftermarket bucket seats in my 69 Valiant. I bought a set of repop super stock seat brackets but the seat is to high as I’m 6 2ft. So I’m going to make my own brackets. I had previous bucket seat A body and they fit fine. So I figured that height of seat track will work. Anybody...

Need the top and bottom shock absorber washers and nuts for a 69 Valiant with a 8 3/4, anybody have a source for them?

Haven’t started vehicle yet,just trying to get everything sorted before firing. Since new alt is internal regulated,just wondering if original regulator wires need to connect to new alt or just leave disconnected?

I have installed the Toyota denso alt in my 69 Valiant, my question is do I have to do anything with the original wires that go to the factory mechanical voltage regulator, or just leave them disconnected?

Thanks for your info. The belt I need is a stock style v belt. May try a stock belt that fits the original style alt?

Have a big block with denso alt, just wondering if anybody has a part number or application for the alt belt? I am just running from crank to water pump to alt, no ps or ac.
