Thanks for reaching out, I apologize for the late reply. I've been swamped at work for the past couple weeks. Looks like freight is about $160 to 200. Is there anything major needed to be adapted for a 70 a-body? Also do you have any linkages, clutch, bellhousing, or flywheel?

It's a little bit more work to adapt than I'm looking for but I really appreciate the offer! Do the truck od 833s have the same strength issues as the aluminum ones?

Yeah it is tempting to go after a Ford ranger 8.8 due to the ease of the swap. I'm going to see if they can be found in other gear ratios. On another note, it looks like the 05-13 mustangs have 8.8 31 spline axles. It looks like the axle width (wms) to wms is about 66in though I can't find...

Problem is that the mustang axles are usually 28 spline which is weaker compared to the 31 spline in explorers.
