it doesn’t crank at all. I did and the battery was fine. Even had a bench test that came back all good. Not sure if it was running with that configuration, it was the first time digging into it For recent work none has been done.

I tried using 2 wrenches for torque and even a bolt splitter tool and nothing has worked. I don’t want to bend the metal too much for the throttle. Any suggestions?

For a ‘64 Dart 225. I am looking for this banana shaped piece (circled in the diagram) that connects the lever for the downshift to the carb. Without it, when I go to floor it at speed, it does not downshift to increase acceleration like it’s supposed to. If I can get a parts number too that...

I do. I also rev the engine up a little bit to give it initial power so that it does not die. It seems to help a little but not by much. I was initially thinking it being a carb/choke adjustment issue.
