Yep done it a hundred times when racing fourwheelers. But if it doesnt bead up first time dont keep adding starter fluid. I couldnt get one to bead up so I kept adding more starter fluid then when I lit the fumes it blew the tire over the bead and gave me 8 hours of ears ringing.

How can I figure what the gear ratio in each gear of a three speed so I can calcute what gears to run? Because I have a few gears that may work by running in second.

You are right. But I have a 3 speed on its way to smallblocks place for me to get. But since I already have the gm I may go ahead and find everything to mount it just in case I need it
