In the same dilemma with my car. Although not a Champion radiator and my fan and shroud is from Jegs. Glad this thread was resurrected, or I may not have found some useful info so quickly.
It is small for sure. Here it is on my 15x4s... as you can see it's too wide of tread width for my wheels by the sidewall bulging. I goofed up on ordering after about 4 hours of finding/ordering parts. Was too close to Mopars in the Park to send back. Had mounted to get me by just for the show...
I have these on my fronts, and although they are too wide for my wheels they'd be perfect for a 6" wide wheel, while keeping the front end down swith a sorta raked look if that's what you're after.
1974 Plymouth Duster
Front
Jegs SSR Spike
15x4"
1.75"
195/50/15 (not staying with this size)
Stock Front Suspension
Rear
Jegs SSR Spike
15x8"
4.5"
275/60/15
7.25 rearend, stock /6 springs(as far as I know) in stock location with wannabe coilover shocks, 1" spacers. Yes an 8.75 is coming.
Thanks for the info guys. We had talked about getting some thinner plate steel, notching it and sliding it in to shim the mount(s). I have seen the Flaming River & Borgeson u-joints.... they are insanely priced though. Certainly not my first choice.
After I got my Duster a few years ago, which was my first real introduction into classic Mopars mind you... I began to read more and more about the /6. I'm diesel guy first and foremost, so I have a real love for in line 6s. Who cares if this one leans to one side a bit? Lol I have much to learn...
