Personally id hate to have a torsion bar fail on the road and put my family and others at risk because an idiot on Facebook recommends doing something that dumb.
So on a Facebook group a young fella reckons the BEST way to set up the front end with slant 6 bars is turn them round another notch and force the bottom arm up and they handle like they are on rails.
I cant believe people think that that's ok.
That amount of pressure on a 55 year old torsion...
What is the best MSD box to use with one of these ready to run distributors?
Im looking at a 6AL-2 digital CD with rev limiter but keen for any advice or recommendations.
Currently running a factory electronic dizzy and orange box on a healthy wee 318 with alloy heads.
I’ve got a healthy 360, edelbrock performer heads, 883 gearbox.
Keen to turn it into a 408 and add a new cam etc.
Where is the best place to source the crank, rods and pistons.
Summit have the eagle kit but it’s not in stock.
How much total advance should I be looking at for my 360, had a single points dizzy in it and was only getting 28/30 degrees at 3500, Have now added a electronic dizzy with mopar orange box and some new leads.
So I got the old valiant Ute out to the drags yeasterday, no traction in 1st and 2nd so ran 15s all day. Best was 95mph
Sticky tyres and an msd dizzy for Xmas should help it.
Crappy single point dizzy and had the timing at 8 degrees it revs good to 5k. Definitely a few things to work on but...
NM9 Thanks for your reply, Sounds like safe compression and good lift for the valve train.
Got 1 head on and the preload is good, Manifolds will fit better than headers so new front pipes next week.
ill sort out rest over weekend.
360 headers for right hand drive A bodies are soooo expensive.
Sorry for delay been pretty busy lately so have finally got the numbers off the pistons and measurement for how high they come up in the bore.

I cant remember what compression ratio engine builder said it was but thinking it was 9 to 1.
I was using extractors but they are 318 ones so am going to use 360 manifolds until I get a new set of headers sorted. I got a ARP head bolt kit and 1008 gaskets, things I didn't know I needed until...
I have added an image of my Lunati cam specs and a picture of how far the pistons come up in the block.
Still waiting for the 1008 gaskets to arrive and turns out I was using 318 headers so am in for a new set of headers to.
I have Ferrera stainless valves 11/32 stem, and the springs to suit...
