You could make a 1" link that would attach to your carb and then the other end wo ik ls attach to the end of your throttle cable. That would put the metal sleeve back where it should be to clamp in the bracket
Basically just bent the mounting tabs straight. If this was done with an la style intake I would think you would have to extend it a bit to get it to line up.
So we put some magnum heads on an la 318 that we stroked out. With that we decided to adapt the factory kickdown linkage. I'll post some pictures of it in a bit
We bought some heads from performance injection equipment. They are magnum style heads. I'm guessing the stock or magnum style rocker assemblies can be used with them?
We got the rotating assembly back finally. Ended up right at 10:1 compression. DCR calculates out to 7.9:1 with the comp xe274 cam that the builder recommended. Should be quite the runner all said and done. We have a tc coming from ultimate converter with a stall in the 2800 to 3200 range...
I didn't see anything from KB that is a 3.94 bore piston. There was a kit out there that had some option for stroker kits but the next jump up for compression from the 9.6 is 11.7. That seems like to much of a jump. I'll talk to the engine builder monday and see what he has to say. NM I'll...
Yeah there isn't a lot of piston choices for the 318. He has some from diamonds that have a 16cc dish and with the PIE 62cc heads it should be at 9.6 to 1. Kind of sounded like it would cost quite a bit more to go higher in compression.
Yes pump fuel is the plan. We have a few places close to us with non ethanol 91 gas. E85 is pretty prevalent around us also but I'm not sure we will go down that road.
Yes this is all clear as mud lol.
