Met a guy at a show this weekend wanted offset on my wheels called tonight gave him info. Than asked if I had ss springs he just bought the car and started working on it and noticed rear shackles lay about 1 inch from frame. What would cause this wrong springs?

car is 72 not sure of motor timing on drivers side.
