Anyone running aftermarket A/C with their Hemi swap?

I'm using a Southern Rods Maxi Kooler II. I just bought the heat and air unit from them. I'm using the drivers side Hemi compressor and a Bouchlon install kit for all the lines, dryer, condenser and fittings. Car blows 30 degree air and will absolutely freeze you out! I'm very impressed!!

Tremec TR6060 Six speed Hemi Swap

I made a sheet metal dust cover with two louvers in it for heat for the original bell. I bought a scatter shield later and it is completely enclosed so no shield necessary.

    73' B3 340 Duster pro touring build

Ross, I'm very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He sounded like a great guy. Cuda pics look great. One thing about this build as opposed to the Duster.... You KNOW how it's going to go back together. You dont have all of those head scratching decisions to make which MAY reduce the amount...

Can't believe it's been that long. You and that car deserve all the recognition that it gets!! Congrats. How is the Cuda coming along?

    HDK on Texas Metal

Did anyone else see the Hemi Denny K member in the 65 Belvedere on Texas Metal tonight? Sorry if this was already posted but I think everyone else is figuring out what the A body guys already know!

I dont think the 6.4 will let you drop the body down over it without firewall work. The 6.1 has more clearance in the back. It's a little tricky with the alternator by the frame rail but you can just lower the car over the engine once you clearance your firewall. You might take your intake off...

    Oil pick up

Hey..... I've got one of those "drinking" pickup tubes as well. I ordered the early pickup on my first go around and I still have it. I thought about putting an early 5.7 in my 70 Charger just so i could use that pickup tube. LOL

To be honest with you..... I just noticed that a lot of other people were using the Driveshaft shop on thier swaps so I just went with it. I knew that it would be a strong lightweight shaft and it was easy. HOWEVER.... it wasn't cheap! The local driveshaft shop can make you a shaft using a 4wd...

    392 in a 70 Duster

I used a Driveshaft shop conversation. It has a round aluminum adapter. The adapter is about as big as the steel yoke on the transmission. BTW, if you use this setup, make sure that you line up the blue lines when you put it together and you won't have to to it twice. lol Here are a couple of...

Will you have room in your tunnel for the driveshaft adapter? It' hard to tell from pics but you may have to expand you driveshaft tunnel upward. Just something to consider. EDIT: I just looked at mine and yours looks about the same hight. I guess I did expand my tunnel a little... I just forgot...

Looks great. I should've took more pics when I was building my trans mount but so far it looks like the same process. I've got a few miles on mine and a few hard launches. So far everything is still in one piece.

Yep. Same story, different chapter. Looks good! I wish I would've changed up my wiper motor as well. It would be nice to have intermediate wipers. Oh well.

I guess I didn't really take too many pics of the fab work. I just cut out the heater blower motor area, the bulkhead area and the wiring channel on the fenderwell and filled them in with flat steel. It sucks cutting up a finished car but I love it now! First pic is obviously a before pic. LOL
