That what im talkin' about Demoncar..
THanks for the pic-that explains alot. What im missing now is that bolt assy that the throttle cable and the tranny lever hook to.Do you know if any body makes a repop of that item?
Thanks
Thanks Guzziemike.Helps me a bit,but i still have the old kick down linkage installed..
I do like the look of that Lokar system though.
Still would like to see a pic of the whole thing hooked up with the old linkage system.
Well probably not-but when the car is idiling the steering wheel turns slowly to the left on its own.Kinda spooky??
Also from the tires in the straight forward position, the steering wheel can turn 2 1/2 turns to the stop when turning right, but only 1 turn to the stop when turning left. What do...
Well-that is probably the problem..I did not know that an adapter was needed.Do you have a pic on what it looks like? And where does one obtain the aforementioned adapter?
Thanks
Any body out there got a pic of how they hooked up the kickdown lever on a 727tf to an Edlebrock carb??
I cant seem to get mine right. The throttle wants to keep sticking open when i hook it up.I think it must need some kind of bolt and spacer assy. to allow it to move freely without binding...
Cleaned up the wiring a bit,and added a fusible link to the extra primary wire as suggested. And it still works!
Thanks again to all who contributed to this thread, and for helping me along the way!!!
You guys aint going to believe this! The old alternator works just fine!New alternator does not work!
What started this whole mess was the batt not charging-right?So i took the old alt in and had it tested-Right?Dude behind the counter tests it-tells me its no good-Right?
So i buy a new...
Well sir-0.0 ohms @ 1 FLD connection to alt case, and 3.4 ohms on the other FLD connection to alt case.
So something in the alt is fried-yes?
If so-why would the alternator still be putting out higher voltage than the battery has?
Making progress though.
I have an old alternator that i tested...
Thanks for that link Rob.Very helpful. That would explain the 2 wires going to the output of the Alt.So if i understand this correctly-the big red wire from the relay should be the only wire i need on the output stud of the Alt?
Oh and the wiring will get cleaned up(again) when i get these issues...
