    Weight of Big Block Head

I think 55 assembled or 45 its one of the two, I know an iron 4 barrel intake almost weighs the same. I was knew I was shocked, but its been awhile. I weighed them once to see how much weight I cut off my 440, by using aluminum heads, intake, and water pump and housing.

Widest wheel and tire fitment on A-body

Hey guys, I have a 72 duster, what is the widest tire you can fit under it, I would like to run some mickey Thompson E/T drag radials on it and some wider pro stars with less backspacing, I plan on relocating the leaf springs, and mini tubing it taking it back to the frame, and would like to...

    Torque Convertor Help!!!

Hey guys I know this isn't pertaining to an A-body, but I am sure someone might have some info to help me. I am putting together a LWB 83 d150, and I have putting a warmed up 440 in it , stock motorhome bottom end, aluminum heads, a 475/494 lift 262/268 duration lunati voodoo cam, a performer...

    fenderwell header problems.

I have 2 inch tti's and on my 440 and it is close. Its running solid mounts, I would imagine if it was using standard mounts they would slap the shaft getting on it.

    R6 440 block?

^^^^ What he said, both of my mid-70s 440 have this on them, nothing special. If it was a R6P8 motor it would have been the most current Nascar engine that the Dodge's ran before they pulled out, now if it was that it would be special lol

    MRL Mild 383 Build

I see now the compression, I was figuring you at 10.5.

    MRL Mild 383 Build

Not to discredit you man, but I was expecting a little more power than that with those heads, cam, and flat-tops. Got to be more in the set up the way the torque curve is with that high revving small bb, big heads, and a big cam in a smallish engine. I was expecting the torque and hp to more...

New BB Aluminum Heads from CPPA

Yeah Hughes actually fills in the gap on the ez Indy heads behind the lip its not even a taper OTB, they claim it speeds up the port smoothing it out. I guess it tumbles like air in a truck bed with the tailgate up is why they do it. Me, I would just take a dremel and grind that lip down and put...

Show Your Big Block A body!

To be honest it will be awhile before I get to tackle putting that job together, I am in the process of redoing a truck and have to get it done, as it is what is going to pull my duster to the track. So my main priority is spending all my cash into it, and it probably be late spring or early...

Show Your Big Block A body!

Its running L60-15 Mickey Thompson Sportsmans, I don't know the back spacing, I bought the car that way, but I do know I has too much backspacing, I have to run air shocks to keep the car from rubbing the lip on the quarters, I plan to relocate the leaf springs, mini-tub it and run some a...

New BB Aluminum Heads from CPPA

I could be wrong, but I don't think they would be, I mean I have heard some people say they have no problems even putting Max Wedge EZ Indy's on 440's, I actually contemplated running a set of the MW EZ's myself, I do plan to go 500ci one day, so whatever I do I plan to run something to better...

New BB Aluminum Heads from CPPA

Oh Jesus, Trick Flow builds nasty stuff, their heads for the Ford 4.6 2V are sick. Yes these will definitely be on my radar when I start going thru my Duster.
