    Thanks, that is the direction l'm heading ln. it makes sense l removed the valve cover and found a bent push rod. next weekend l plan on remove the head and see if l can manually turn the motor over. Thanks for your advice.

    Yes the paint is original, there is still remains of the snake skin top. So far everything looks original, l removed some of the carpet and it looks they used some kind of fire proofing or sound proofing material under the carpet. I hope it does not contain any asbestos.

    Here is how l got that name: I'm 5ft 4" my girlfriend is 5 ft 11" she is also a 1974 model. l come up to her headlights. like my car her thermostat is messed up as well. but at least she runs. And she is always telling me l'm killing her. So there you go.
