Steering column gets hot from engine bay heat (headers) - solutions?

Thanks OMM - the PO did cut back to the firewall the lower end my column, so that end is wide open and hot air is coming in. I'll stuff a short length of 2" OD Home Depot foam insulation for 1" pipe into the cut end to block out the hot air.

Steering column gets hot from engine bay heat (headers) - solutions?

Okay FABO nation, let's hear your similar experiences and solutions that actually worked. BTW, not an electrical problem in the steering column. Thanks, Dave

    [FOR SALE] OER MW925 14 x 6 or 14 x 7 Stainless Trim Rings Brushed w/Polished Edge - Set of 4 BRAND NEW IN BOX $120

Just not my preference. Comparing them to the driver quality 14" OEM brushed rallye trim rings I currently have (like the three in the photo below), these OERs have a wider lip/edge and no groove along the outer edge. A good deal if anyone can use 'em.

    [FOR SALE] OER MW925 14 x 6 or 14 x 7 Stainless Trim Rings Brushed w/Polished Edge - Set of 4 BRAND NEW IN BOX $120

I received these as a thank-you-for-your-help gift. I pulled one of the rings out and didn't care for the look of the edge - I'm hoping that someone in FABO Nation can put these brand new, never mounted trim rings to good use. The OER description says 2-1/2" deep but if you look at the...

Want to Hear Your Opinions on Cost-Effective Thermal Barriers for Floor and Transmission Tunnel

After about 30 minutes of driving, the inside of my car gets hot like heck due to exhaust system (headers/dual exhaust pipes) radiant heat transfer through the floor pan and transmission tunnel - to the point where my wife doesn't enjoy riding in the car. I put 1/2-inch thick, adhesive-backed...

Which beauty rings will fit/look like the factory installed option?

Thanks. Just to be sure, MW925. And the outer lip of the rings sit flush against the wheel lip?

Which beauty rings will fit/look like the factory installed option?

I'm aiming for the same trim ring look that you achieved. So you went with the OER MW924 (polished) 2-1/2" trim rings, or the MW925 (brushed)? Thanks, Dave

[WANTED] Still looking for a set of driver quality brushed trim rings for 14 x 6 rallyes (off a B-body) - also posting on FBBO

Thanks for replying. Yes, your 3” deep rings are for 14 x 7 and will not fit my wheels (I need the 2-1/2” deep rings).

[WANTED] Still looking for a set of driver quality brushed trim rings for 14 x 6 rallyes (off a B-body) - also posting on FBBO

Looking for a driver set of rings with the type of clips as shown on the right side of the photo below - NOT the type with the black clips shown on the left (that is an OER 14 x 6 14 x 7 repo ring). Lemme know what you have, please send pix and price. Thanks, Dave
