I have i believe a 727 number PK3743423 torque converter measures 10" bolt center to center. what size flex plate should this use on a 318 ? any place out ther sell both flexplate and torque converter ? and is it true you have to cut gear off of old converter and weld on to new converter ?

Lots of work ahead Any help ? I have 1970 duster was a slant 6, putting in a 318 from 74 gold duster. car is an automatic and would like to convert to manual transmition. question number one am i wasting time with 318 ? possibly upgrade to 360 ? plus transmission conversion.
