I never heard of the Holley Z intake. I will check it out. I was thinking about matching whatever intake I get with a spread bore edelbrock or the Holley street Demon.

What kind of millage were you getting?

Yes I was planning on the edelbrock sp2p with a “matching” spread bore carb.

Last engine I sprayed painted I used PlastiKote Chrysler Orange 226. I loved how bright the orange was. I can't find it anywhere. If anyone knows a source please let me know. What your favorite Hemi Orange spraypaint!

Sweet, my dad had a 1946 Chris Craft with two straight 8 cylinder engines. He said they were Chrysler engines. He would let it idle just to listen to the sound, he loved the sound of those engines!

Thanks, but I’ve never had her up to speed yet. First rebuild didn’t go so well. Every time she would go over 3000 rpm she would overheat.

Thanks for the help! It’s an old Edelbrock street fighter tunnel ram. That’s a picture of the engine after the first “rebuild”. This time I’m going without the fuel pump, one carb and an airgap manifold. Trying to simplify things this time.

Hi all, I'm new here. Want to make sure I have all the correct oil galley plugs in place. Is there a good diagram anyone can point me to? I'm using an old marine manual and its not that helpful. I'm putting in the crank tonight but don't want to miss any oil galley plugs before I torque it down...
