I suspect that you would need 2 nuts that fit the stud thread Tighten them both on the stud and then use a wrench to loosen by turning the inner nut.

I've never owned a Ruger #1 but I am a big fan of single shot rifles. I just love the lines of a Mannlicher stocked rifle. You should get yourself another one.

Hi gzig5. I'm well versed on the correct assembly of the M10 bolt but I thank you for your advice. I will inspect the rifle when it arrives to make sure that it is assembled correctly. I might be able to have a range day on Monday.

I was attaching the right angle adapter on the 273 the other week. Unfortunately, I snapped the large mounting bolt. I was able to remove the threaded portion. I ordered a mounting kit that came with gaskets and a new stronger bolt. Unfortunately, the bolt is short and won't engage the threads...
