Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

There is current, iam not just measuring continuity, i turn the key, full 12V at Batt lead, full 12V on start lead, 12V when key is in RUN on IGN 1. 10V reads when key is in start and i test IGN 2. The car is hot and cranking, i have full power to the ign switch while iam testing. Not sure...

Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

I did test it during crank many times and it consistantly read 10V while yellow read 12v. My only question was if IGN 2 is HOT during crank and its a bypass of the ballast then why wouldnt that fire up my coil when running that lead straight to the coil. The reason why from what iam seeing...

I don't think you read what I'm writing. I know how the switch works i don't think you understand the problem, or what I'm running. I don't appreciate rudeness, it's not necessary. You should not write posts with a commanding tone, it's not appropiate, we don't know each other. If you have a...

THanks for that, I rather not use a diode thats why i was hoping IGN2 directly to the coil would work, it should if once the key is in start, this lead should be hot. But for some reason it not, either the wires are mixed up or that lead is broken in the switch. I tested the lead coming off the...

Yes the swich is supposed to be for 70 charger but also for many other cars. The wire colors match my original switch, they were not labeled on the switch

I appreciate everyones feedback and suggestions, Its hard to fully explain but its hard to mesh an aftermarket electrical system with mopar. I don't have any original harnesses or fuse box. IGN 1 does go to the fuse box with RF kit. They have one wire feed for ignition and the original ign swich...

Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

Well I got it started! I still don't understand IGN 2, so I tied them together and added the diode lead. I tried sending IGN directly to the coil no current during start? I don't get that if that is suppose to be hot when the key is in start. I also tried just running IGN 1 to the fuse box...

Another thing the directions say, with stock dist/ballast, the coil feed wires to the ballast and connect the diode lead from the starter to the coil in order to supply 12V during crank. When i changed my dist to MSD all in one, i removed the diode, and connected the coil feed straight to the...

I think i have that power supply by using IGN 2 in my switch, but i cant get that confirmed by anyone, i have not tried it yet, i will be trying tomorrow AM!

Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

I asked them, no straight answer, i dont know how the fuse box is wired, no diagrams I dont want to rely on a doide for a 12V source to my coil, if that failes on day, i get feed back to my relay!

Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

I dont know if iam explaining myself correctly. If that coil feed from the fuse box is hot during start and run, why would i need that diode lead from the relay? At the switch if i tie IGN 1 and 2 together and connect them to the only IGN lead from the fuse box.. current goes to the fuse box...

Ron Francis Wiring help 2 !

I get the point of tying the 2 together to connect to RF 1 ign feed wire. This says that that lead is hot in start and run. Coming out of the box is a coil feed - this then should also be hot in start and run. Then why would they also recommend using a diode connecting to the IGN side of the...

"send IGN 2 to the POS coil directly and be done with it" I put the old post in a link below on my first post. I didnt want to restart an old post, so i put a link in instead.
