    Turn Signal Relay Issue

Awesome! This is what I needed to confirm. Mine are metal, so I should not see a ring terminal ground wire anywhere. However, there may be a ground issue, that I can resolve, by soldering a tire to the back of the light housing and screwing to the trunk floor.

    Trunk Ground Location 1971 DART?

I looked and followed the loom from the hump on the driver's side behind the rear seat, along the side marker and around to the Passenger side marker. There is only one black wire at the Passenger side marker, and appears to be the end of the line. That black wire is power, like the wiring...

    Trunk Ground Location 1971 DART?

Thanks, is that what the upside down xmas tree symbol means? I knew that it would ground via socket to body, I am having issues where they stay one or in cases don't come on. So, I wanted to add additional ground wires. I was unsure if I could just pigtail to body from the metal light housing or...

Anyone Familiar With a Blue Wire w/ Yellow Stripe Along Firewall?

Thanks for you reply. Yes, it was the "fusable link". However, in my case it was an in-line 25A blade mini fuse (aftermarket). I ended up just buying a new engine harness. Somehow, when I changed out to a new bulkhead connector, I jacked up some wires, with the whole reverse image in the service...

    Trunk Ground Location 1971 DART?

Good afternoon, I am trying to identify where the ground location is for the trunk, for my rear lights etc. I followed the wiring diagram, but it simply shows a ground for the rear defrost motor. I don't believe I have rear defrost and if I do, it does not work, as none of my HVAC works. Can...

    Turn Signal Relay Issue

Thank you for the insight. I will test the Socket in the trunk tomorrow. I looked today in the trunk floor and the wall along the bumper. I could not find any ground wire bolted to the trunk pan. The wire diagram shows a Ground Wire ring terminal on the read defroster motor, but I could not find...

    Turn Signal Relay Issue

I thank you for the crash course. I will no longer call them relays! Ok, so I am stuck on stupid with the “What I would do” instructions. I need to correct my facts. 1. I have both types of 1157 bulbs and both types of FLASHERS. I bought them to try both set ups. So, I am happy if just...

    Turn Signal Relay Issue

Good morning, I am trying to sort out an issue with my turn signal relay. I bought both the normal mechanical and the Heavy Duty one (Electric and for LED). I have both incandescent and LED 1157 bulbs to swap between. If I connect the pink multi-wire V shaped connector to the relay, and use the...

    Brake Light Switch

Good morning, Can anyone share any insight on how to remove the Stop Light Switch? I looked on YouTube and none of the older models are shown.I don't have brake lights, and with my test light I am getting ho on both terminals of the switch at all times. I am thinking that should bot be, and it...

Does Anyone See An Issue With Splicing Ign 1 & 2 at Harness?

Good morning, I have been battling issues with getting my MSD 6 AL back up. I bought a new box and was running fine for about 4 days. Yesterday, I was driving and felt a skip for a second. It happened twice, and I shrugged it off as maybe a carburetor blip. I got on the Interstate and before...

How To Install an Ignition Switch in 1970 Dodge Dart

Question.... I replaced my bulkhead connector with a new one. I "thought" I swapped wire for wire keeping each one in the right location. But now I am second guessing. The Yellow wire on the ignition switch harness you show in the picture, on my car is HOT all the time. With key or without key...

Anyone Familiar With a Blue Wire w/ Yellow Stripe Along Firewall?

I am still struggling to get my electrical issue with my 71 Dart resolved. I changed my headers and had to remove the plugs and wires to access manifold. When I put back I accidentally mixed up the plug wires. I went through the flames out carb and starts with backfires. Finally figured out...
