I've done some research and 73 seems to be a mismatch year.Could be drums on front could be discs . Seems production date and plant seems to be the deciding factor. I highly doubt anybody updated to discs they only spent money on bare essentials.having said this I could be wrong.

I currently have discs on the front.I believe it came that way.The car was originally slant 6 and change out to 318 four speed. I don't have any history on the car, but I imagine the original 7 1/4 blew up and sourced an older rearend to replace.

Hey fellow members. I have a 73 swinger and someone had changed out the rearend with an older small bolt pattern 7 1/4.I want to source an 8 1/4 and change it.What problems should I be prepared for? .The car would have came with a lbp 7 1/4 originally.

Have to install a new intake manifold gasket on my swinger. Looking for info on what to torque the bolts and sequence. It's a eldebrock streetmaster 318 manifold. Also what's the best way to make sure I have zero leaks.I was told to throw away the end gaskets and use rtv only.suggestions?

I have a a833 overdrive in a dart swinger I believe it is a 1975 but the date code is unreadable. The casting number is c13546 b. I have been looking at replacing instead of rebuilding the transmission is basically toast .It is still in the car.I have found another in great shape. Date...

Is there an easy way to tell the difference between a four speed and a three speed overdrive. Someone told me you can tell by the linkage formation whether the connectors going into the transmission were up or down. Also any difference in the shift kit for one or the other.

Thinking about swapping my 1975 318 with 1985 318 out of a half ton truck.It's in my 73 swinger. Any difference in the engines or should it be a pretty easy swap?Wondering about engine mounts etc.The 85 is a carb engine.Also any horsepower change.Motor is smoking a little also rear seal...

The kit from classic had no grease zerks.just foam gasket strip of caulk and foam sleeve.So if I pulled the wiper pivot install grease fittings it may cure the leakage as long as it is not worn too bad.I guess I should play contortionist and have someone spray to see if it is the gasket or...
