Wheel hub questions for 10 inch drums

Well I got it figured out. Thanks to @CFD244 for the hubs I was able to put new bearings, races and studs onto the new hubs without a hiccup. Also installed new brakes and hardware for the car. First picture is the carnage on the old hub that I found, you can see the allowed out area where the...

Wheel hub questions for 10 inch drums

They where passenger side. I did know about that and warned them about the possibility. Funny enough they have been changed in its past so that is convenient

Wheel hub questions for 10 inch drums

The shop in question is a good friend of mine. He did torque them correctly but he mentioned that the studs where damaged previously from over torque. And fixing a couple things what where previously done to the car it is entirely believable. But now I know about these studs and how to remove...

Wheel hub questions for 10 inch drums

I'd like to thank you all for help. I'm going to weight my options here and figure out my best plan of action. And to answer your question Murray. I had new tires recently put on the car and 2 of the snapped. The studs being 30+ years old or original is a bit of a scarey thing to me when you...

I did try to find new hubs for the car but it doesn't seem like anyone makes them. Frustrating when I found out after how common of a mistake this is. You would think someone would be reproducing these hubs. Im Trying to make what I have work since there isn't much options. But thats why I am...

Wheel hub questions for 10 inch drums

While replacing the front end I'm now on the the wheel ends. Front brakes went good but now I'm on the wheel hubs. Problem is the old studs where swaged and because of the it stretched out the holes on the hub. Only found that out after trying to install the new studs and they sit loose in the...

    Another cooling system thread

I should clarify before people call me out when I said fixed fans aren't efficient. I know the are the best when it comes to cooling. But I want something to free up some power but still has the cfm to do the job.

    Another cooling system thread

Hello again everyone, now that I got my suspension figured out it's not time I address my cars cooling. It works alight but I'm frankly not happy with it. It could be way better, so I've been looking on this thread and I found a thread on mounting a stock shroud on a 22 inch champion and I...

Trying to find the right wheel bearing

@cudamark I ment i was able to spin the race one the drum while I had it off the car and not on the hub. I torn it all down to inspect for any damage. But I think I lucked out on the spindle as it has not serious wear or heat damage

Trying to find the right wheel bearing

Well I managed to luck out on that. The spindle did manage to survive with no damage. Somehow only the outer bearing managed to get some Spalding and the race for the outer bearing isn't sitting in place. I can spin it by hand, I'm going to do both side with new inner, outer bearings and races...

Trying to find the right wheel bearing

Hello everyone, I'm trying to find the right wheel bearings or wheel bearing kit for my 1972 plymouth duster. It's a drum brake car and I can't seem to find a for sure kit or wheel bearing for my car. It managed to grenade itself not far from leaving work so I had to limp it back as I didn't...
